It is baffling that they work to make the experience with Pokémon like literal pets and then act like people's first experience with them alone isn't reason enough for most people to want to play.
You know Trash Go would've flown off shelves if it had been the beginning to Gen 8 with like half the new Pokémon in addition to all of the content regardless of it being a region we've experienced multiple times, let alone a new one.
