To the north is Alaska. Along the coast is supposed to a mishmash of Seattle, San Francisco, San Diego, and Los Angeles. Though they are poorly implemented.
There's a death valley desert equivalent to the east, where I'm thinking things like Flygon and Garchomp can be found. Theres the Giant Redwoods forest there. Inside the forest there a haunted mansion. La Brea Tarpits can be found in the south in the big city. The white houses are supposed to be the wealthy neighborhoods of Los Angeles. (Bel-Air, Hollywood Hills, Venice Beach, etc.) Theres San Gaberial Mountain range behind the city and theres Mt. Saint Helens in the north too.
The island off to the furthest west of the map with the volcano is inspired by Alcatraz. But instead of criminal facility I turned it into a "Jurassic Park" kind of thing. It's an island where you can find all fossil Pokémon in they're original states without the rock type.
There's more stuff too like theme parks, Poke Star Studios HQ, Walk of Fame, etc. Theres a military base/Gym in the desert based on area 51. That's where you can find some space mons like the Elgyem line or Space trash line. I also would luke to add a old western style town too.
