I Just realized looking at OPs pic : ORAS and SM gave you a limited edition with a nice steelbox of the version you prefered for a slightly higher price.
Now if you want the steelbox you need to pay two times for the same game.

But I'll bite.
If there was anything to prove that they actually made new models or fancy new animations for the pokemon then I would be ok with the cut. But from what I've seen, they just have to make new animations for about 100 pokemon MAX. Because let's be real there's no way we're actually getting 100 new pokemon, probably 70-80 if we are lucky, that's including galarian forms.

If it was whole new models and animation sets, and they said they couldn't do them all in time, sure thats forgivable. If they said they would add more in future patches, sure whatever. But you are dullusional if you think that they aren't just taking mons away so they have to do less work.

if adding new pokemon isn't sustainable i'd rather them stop so they CAN sustain it instead of cutting pokemon from games entirely

Maybe let the other games add pokemon, and add future mon as straight up dlc.
Say for example.
New pokemon in the new game 50.
and 50 galarian forms.

Side game released, adds 25 more.

Mobile game released, adds 2-5
Conquest 2. Adds 2-5 etc etc.

I know they wouldn't because marketing and toys but still

I dont even care that much about the dex cut, the graphics or the animation.
I am disappointed but i would buy the game regardless if they gave me any hype.
Dynamax Is just lame, we already had powered up moves and evolutions during battles. Its not interesting.
Theres nothing new or innovative.
To me the most exciting thing about this game is Galar Weezing and i dont even like Weezing

Not having every single Pokémon would not be noticeable for most gameplay. I actually like that players will be somewhat limited to teams that are attainable for everyone playing and not people with Bank or old games. I also like that new Pokémon will be more prominent by default.

My only fear is that the Regional Dex will still be small. If it’s less than 300 that’s awful. It should be 400-500 and I feel some doubt GameFreak will do that, but that’s part of why XY worked.

But what bothers me more than anything is the blatant lies, and people eating that shit up.
Same for the people that sell out to the Epic store. I don't care if they do it, just don't pretend that it isn't for money.
