You could technically change one of his attacks to Protect or Recover. Doesn't make him OP, mind you. But it does help him out a bit.

Aggron could change Rock Smash to Shell Smash and keep Head Smash.

You could change a lot of things with Secret Power to Earth Power.

How about Mega Tyranitar instead? Sand Rush Mega Ttar could set up its own sand with Sand Stream in regular, then sweep upon mega evolving.
