>>39715419After having beaten every trainer along the way with competitive level Pokémon the only thing I actually had to beat him was Porygon2 with Trick Room which was still nearly 10 levels too low despite having been traded in from a French copy of Moon (meaning it had a larger experience boost than most of the others on the team). I did not turn off Exp Share so that wasn't it. I also did have the Refresh effects active for everyone. didn't mean a damn to 1+ to everything that's 10 levels higher than where you are by killing everything along the way.
>>39715590People saying it isn't more difficult is like a Mario Maker 2 level just spammed to death with enemies and saws and shit and then someone saying "it isn't difficult! All you had to do was find the hidden cape at the beginning and damage boost through!" ignoring that that 10 thwomps going in all 4 directions so you can't know what's going to happen the first time are going to try to kill you to get it - if they don't take out the block first.
A level like that would still end up in Super Expert regardless of the fact that there's a relatively easy dev secret to get past because that's an unreasonable expectation.
That's what Ultra Necrozma is - shitty design that has a way out but the way is obtuse. You shouldn't require certain things to beat it.
Especially not when you only have one fucking difficulty level so the player had no part in choosing that.
I don't mind having to figure shit out - I play on the hardest difficulty possible anyway but that is not good game design when you intend the games to be for everyone but won't even let them opt out of whatever bullshit (be it tutorial or stupid difficulty spikes) you're going to throw in their way.
