Because before being a cannon it's a toucan, and toucans are physically strong as fuck. But their beaks, ironically, are pretty light and purely for intimidation.

I like it but since it was revealed I still can't feel there is something missing. If you showed me this picture without I already knowing it's Pokémon I wouldn't be able to tell it's a Pokémon. It's just a toucan. There is some "Pokémon factor" missing from it. Maybe they could have given it something on the head or wings, I don't know.
