Why wasn't Gladion the focus of Sun and Moon?

You had one intersting compelling character Gamefreak, but yet you choose to focus on his shitty sister instead who does nothing for most of the game, Lillie standing up to her mother was not worth hours of her being usless. I rather take Silver 2.0 than generic shy anime girl, at least Hau does something and have intersting funny dynamic with Gladion they play well of each other. I'm fucking mad that they made an intersting character but choose not to focus on him
