I dunno if you misunderstood me or not, but my implication is that Hypno/Musharna are both tapirs that are mono-psychic and deal with sleep status. While they look different enough, their basic idea is still too similar.

Why not make Musharna a dual type? Hell, it could have been retyped to Psychic/Fairy in Gen 6 but nope.

They obviously aren't a 1:1 copy, but they both share many similarities and are even based on the baku.
