for the schroedinger's cat concept to work it would have to switch between normal and ghost, maybe its actual type is "undecided" until it gets hit by an attack, if it would do neutral damage to ghost and normal (basically any type other than normal, dark, fighting, or ghost) then the type remains undecided, when it gets hit by a ghost attack it takes no damage and turns to normal type, when it gets hit by a normal or fighting attack it takes no damage and becomes a ghost type, but if it gets hit by a dark attack it gets switched to ghost and takes the supereffective hit. the type change remains until swapped out.
