Finally, with Galarian Weezing's ability, Archeops can be used competitively! Post Archeopses to make sure he gets in Sword and Shield!

The sad part is, I know he would. I was praying with every inch of my soul he would get in, but now that he'd be ''too good'' because of his stats and neutralized ability, I'm terrified. At least he could be useful in Showdown.

You're assuming Archeops can be used in SWSH metagame when majority of fossils are not present in the dex in past regional dexes. Also, you're assuming Neutralizing Gas works on Truant, Slow Start, and Defeatist.

Why did Archeops even get Defeatist as an ability in the first place? I can understand why Regigigas, Slaking, and Golisopod got their abilities from a design/lore perspective, but nothing in the dex suggests that Archeops is a 'defeatist'.

If I'm not mistaken, Archeops was in most Regional Dexes for the past generations.
