These games were literally made for competitive players but didn’t they say that would be the case any way and Let’s GO was for more casual players

Well, if your game is shit, you need to market it as "competitive" even when it is stripped of features. That's how majority of current games work now.

Because they showed off a few new items and abilities?
Tell me how they are going to improve team building to be on par with online simulators.

Problem is that many worry that competitive mons that many enjoy are gonna be left behind, never mind the people who play lower tiers who'll basically find themselves in different meta overnight.

Also, judging by VGC during regional dex only years, this kind of shit results in 70+ use rates on some mons due to counters not being there/better options not being present.

I'm concerned that single player will be the afterthought now.

The multiplayer focus explains so much:

>stadiums

I hope they just make multiplayer a spinoff so they can focus on single player.
