>>39743652I've gotten less bothered by it. But one of the things I hate about what Pokemon games are becoming is that they have felt more disposable. With Gen 7's large focus on story, and how this game seems to be a continuation of that with how they are making gym battles look flashier than ever, it feels like the main focus has gone to the main campaign. Even the post-game since XY is always just a post-game story you play once and the Battle Tower clone. And with the three year annual module that's apparently happening, it feels like the focus is now releasing a new toy that lasts for a year, before a new toy releases.
I always enjoyed Pokemon as a pseudo life-simulator and as a game I can play forever, and I feel like those aspects have gotten weaker. There have been less stuff like events that happen on certain days and such. And I hope that Sword and Shield has a large post-game to make up for limiting Pokemon, because so far, it's at a disadvantage in terms of my interest. If I'm not getting the game, it's not because of a boycott, it's because I'm legitimately not as interested.
