They'll get culled in SWSH but GF is totally adding them back in mid-gen because VGC needs legends for the second year and box legends for the third.

Enjoy your single year without Tapus and Groudon while it lasts. Though, SWSH might have its own new bullshit legendary trio in the base dex.

after that probably Weather Trio, Xerneas, Lunala, Tapu, and Gigant Eternatus or whatever new balance dragon they reveal.

A shame that Umbreon didn't win. To be fair, pretty much every other Pokemon on both teams were legendaries, so it was pretty cool to see it nontheless, especially since it got to finals in the first place.
