Pretty sure Zoroark will be Gladion's "ace in the hole" against Ash, it's the only one of his Pokemon he hasn't yet in the league. He's used Umbreon once and Lycanroc and Silvally twice each, but no Zoroark yet.

But it's Zoroark, so don't count on Gladion winning with that thing

But the winner doesn't fight "Kukui", he fights the Masked Royal, and Guzma isn't one of the few who knows that they're the same person.

Kukui means a lot for both Ash and Guzma, but "the Masked Royal" only means anything to Ash.

Kid, the backlash from "BURSATO BAAN" coupled with the League in-game being a newly-established thing has ensured Ash is going to win. He's winning a League, to scratch the fanbase's itch of finally seeing him win a League, but as it's a new thing, it's NBD for him to win it and fuck off, they haven't established their traditions for it as the Alolan regional League yet. I'm betting it'll even play into the set-up for the Galar League, with Chairman Rose deciding Ash's Alolan League win is cause enough to get him sponsored and entered into the competition.
