>>39753456Wild Area is barely a selling point for me, it's the rest of the map that seems massive. You can look at the map, and compare it to screenshots we've seen, and the actual region is way larger than the map shows it to be. There are about 6 or 7 different cave entrances, and 2 forests, all of which could be explorable, and some of them are definitely explorable. There are 3 cities that are seemingly way larger than Castelia or Lumiose, which are probably the 2 largest cities in any of the games thus far. We haven't seen much of the route design so far, so I can't really comment on it, but basically, the entire map sans wild area looks really intriguing, and that has me hyped. Unova, Kalos and Alola weren't really well designed. Sinnoh was the last good region, but you were shackled by the constant need of HMs which won't be an issue here.
People seem to think that the wild area is the only aspect to the game, when it's far from it. It actually seems to be the most barren, but I'm still curious to see what's in there, even if there's nothing.
In regards to dropping features, I don't really care. Megas were never interesting to me, walking pokemon is a neat novelty but not important, never transferred pokemon before, so it's not much of an issue to me. I'm not as upset about dropped features, because all that stuff is just extra to me anyway. I don't play pokemon for that stuff, I just play it for the world, the story, the new pokemon and characters and the gameplay.
