They used to have mall tours where they would demo the games across the country, now it’s only at E3+a rare few other cons, they even had stage shows for the kids.
TPCi basically relies on twitter and youtube to sell their stuff now, and blind fan loyalty. They know that even if some people skip out on SA, they’ll see Masters and jizz their pants, despite being WORSE for the franchise’s soul due to it being mobile cancer. But it will make a lot of money.
Pokemon lost its soul and is just a brand being milked now. There’s no passion anymore from the creators. It’s like Spongebob or the Simpsons. But they can’t take a break because that means less money. I could see in the future the mainline games being put on hold for a while and TPCi focusing on mobile, forcing GF to make “Pokemon Xtreme” or some shit
