This doesn't really bother me, I don't need to use my favorite Pokemon in every game. I already like it and have used it plenty of times. If I don't use new Pokemon I might never discover a new favorite. It feels like a waste to stick to Pokemon I'm so familiar with when there are brand new ones available.

I disagree really heavily, since I feel like you can discover new pokemon that you want to use in every game. But I can see your point, I'm glad that you can see a silver lining in all of this and that you enjoy how the game is regardless
