Yeah, or I could do them on superior hardware, on a prettier game (looks garbage for a switch game but it does look better than a 3ds title) with better framerates with newer post game content.
Also that doesn't even take into consideration that they will probably make more QOL changes for breeding and IV/EV training like they have been doing recently. Wanting to benefit from those is also a use for the Pokemon.
