KBM was oblivious to some things but at the same time tried to be careful not to let his free fan game get shut down. He had a decent reason to do the TPP stuff (so the game could get finished with their help) and hes very open about the mistake of the trailer, which got news sites attentions to write about it without even contacting the author.

SS on the other hand is an asshole who uses other peoples code and graphics without their permission and keeps it closed source. He says hes paranoid but at the same time he puts red targets on his ass with a fucking Patreon and doing interviews.

I felt sorry for KBM and Prism. I wont feel sorry for SS and Crystal Clear.

I tried this game out a few months ago and I was bored out of my mind. Here's how every playthrough goes
>get your planned team at the start
>jump from badge to badge to badge
>grind at the gym your team has the advantage over when you hit a wall
>grind for ages for the E4
>cringe at the E4 self-inserts

That's it. That's all you can do. There's nothing to do besides grind, grind, grind. I'd rather play Polished Crystal over this. I'd rather play normal Crystal over this.

I just finished CC, didn't do a catch 'em all though. All the original content is pretty shit and the Elite 4 is some of the stupidest shit I've seen in a pokemon game. Shockslayer is a ragey baby and the people modding his discord seem pretty much just as bad. I don't get why there is so much praise around CC, a lot of "QoL" stuff is just making it ezmode.

If I remember right, going from 8th gym to E4 is still a significant level hop. Then after the 16th gym and going in again the E4 itself goes from late 60s to the last member having a level 90.
It's actually really poor but people ignore that because you can just chain rematch gyms.

New areas is a good thing. The map layout is literally the same as GSC, except now you have extra places to explore if you want so.
Without any extra content, this game would have just been a boss rush since you can move from town to town so easily
