No I play tons of other games, they don't have as many issues as modern pokemon but modern pokemon still has fun gameplay with a good battle system

The only bad games in recent years are the rehashes (ORAS, USUM, LGPE) the new generation games are the same quality as we've been getting since the beginning.

Other games have lowered my expectations. Some have been great especially some indie titles but most games are disappointingly lame and/or riddled with methods of taking more of your money. Kind of numb to it all now because it's gotten so commonplace.
I dont understand why some people act like Pokemon is an outlier with its controversy. If anything this shit is tame by comparison.

I still follow Smash Bros even though I haven't played the last 2 series because I like seeing which characters get in. I still follow pokemon because I like seeing the new designs and new forms of old pokemon even though the last games I played were gen 5.

I still consider myself a pokemon fan even though I haven't played in 5-6 years or so. You don't have to play games to be a fan anymore, you can just watch streams and post about them online.

Just because you're a low willpower faggot who gives up the moment the going gets rough doesn't mean we all are.

Gen 1 - 7 are varying amounts of playable up until Trash Go so I'll continue to play those and bitch at Game Freak until they either shut down because they've screwed the main series into the ground or decide to fucking listen.

Probably the former while Pokémon goes full mobile.

Even shills won't be capable of ignoring it forever. Especially once their favorites don't make it in and then they realize they fucked up by helping GF drive people away.

Because this will be my last game. I've been following this franchise since the start and with current events like the investors conference, all the upcoming stuff and the state of the licence, I'm not having fun anymore.

It was just a neat series with some toys and cards, now it's all about Phone Apps, Marketing, flooding the toys market with whatever they come up with. It's not pokemon anymore it's just a giant profit machine and Ishihara is having a blast bathing in cash.

I play for new experiences with new Pokémon. The battle system and game mechanics are primo comfy to me. Plus I've always wanted non-stationary overworld encounters and they're finally implementing them. That's why I personally don't care too much about the culling.

My favorite is too obscure anyway (anime doesn't count) so I didn't have high hopes for its inclusion from the start.
