Platinum still holds up great to this day, better than the 3ds games

Full 3d is unnecessary for a tile-based rpg, and game freak doesn’t care enough to make it a real open world 3d rpg as seen in everything from x/y-on. Gen 4 is fine with 3d environments and sprite work for characters, and is arguably better for it. If you don’t understand why, you should leave.

Even so. Minigames have usually gotten the short end of the stick in recent remakes with no equivalent minigames for the Game Corner for ORAS and Let's Go and even the PokeBlock minigame got removed. Also wouldn't be annoying to always undock the Switch just so you can mine some fossils or make Poffins?

There is literally zero reason for a gen 4 remake outside fully exploring Sinnoh in 3d, which we know they won't do and would just copy it grid by grid with a fixed camera.
Mechanically there is no reason. At least ORAS remade the last gen with no physical/special split so it had great mechanical merit, but Platinum is still a fantastic game today that aged very well.

Seeing how shit remakes are as of late, I think I'd pass. Half the extras of Sinnoh depends on the bottom screen (Berries, Contests, PokeWatch, etc), so it makes no sense to remake in Switch. At least ORAS brought Physical/Special split to Hoenn, but it was a bad game. Will test Drayano's mod eventually tho.

Do you really believe they will add the rest of the dex in Sinnoh remakes?
It would make sense considering G4 has the least pokemon confirmed in, not counting Cross-Evos.
I doubt it, since they could have just announced them along with the dex cut and avoid all this mess.

you did watch the footage right? And you did notice there is literally no fps drops during battle and the battle speed is finally normal compared to fucking gen 4,6 and 7.

But the Game Corners in HGSS were absolute trash. They were small rooms with like two people and playing the Game Corner theme was like adding insult to injury. All of those new graphics made for it in the Japanese version and nobody ever sees them outside Japan.
