I do evolve most of my pokemon though, except a few that i like better NFE.
I also dodge npc trainers like crazy to not get overleveled. And use the same number of pokemon as my opponent in battles, and if they faint either restart/reload or just make the rest faint too to lose the battle.
It's kind of irritating how many tricks i have to use to make the game walkthrough interesting.
