I haven't enjoyed any subsequent gens as much as I enjoyed 4 and 5. The music is less memorable too, I think because it's too slow.

The entirety of Platinum has more things to do in a more meaningful way than Yellow and Crystal. Even if you bring in Stadium games, gen IV has PBR. I'm not even a Sinnohfetus but I cannot deny the fact that the middle era games knew the logical progression of the player's expectations so much more.

Platinum was a great upgrade which fixed the problems with DP, and BW2 was a legit sequel, not a remake/upgrade which added more in places that are lacking in BW. And HGSS were great remakes of GS that allowed us to finally experience what GS would have been if they hadn't run out of space on the GBC cart.
