Picked up a switch shortly before smash ultimate. Set up a TV in front of my bed, so I can lounge with my collection of cheap plushes (expensive ones are for displaying) and play. Been sick the past couple days, getting restaurant delivery and laying in bed in my kigurumi with stardew valley, a pile of snuggly tigers, and a big bag of cough drops has been so cozy I almost don't mind the sinus infection. Docked with classic red/blue joycons in the grip thing is the way to go, simple and clean.

I'll probably run it docked for the comfy, but definitely take it with me on the go and in bed.

I might use a Gamecube controller for Colosseum nostalgia but that depends on what they allow cause Let's Go was very specific.

would it be THAT strange for someone to play a game that's been handheld for 20+ years in handheld mode?

don't own a switch yet so going to wait for the lite to come out. can't decide whether to get the special edition SwSh or just buy one of the generic ones. prefer handheld for pokemon as i love to play before i go to sleep in bed and also spend an hour or so in the mornings on the weekend playing.
