Lets say that Pikachu and Lucario are the mascots of their respective gen. Following this level of promotion, which are the mascot pokemon of each gen?

Gen 2- Marill during the first half, Togepi and Pichu for the second
Gen 3 - Tough one, I guess Rayquaza? I don't really remember Blaziken being anywhere particularly noteworthy.
Gen 4 - Lucario. Piplup also got a lot of play though
Gen 5 - Zoroark
Gen 6 - Greninja
Gen 7 - Lycanroc, especially after Ultra Sun/Moon. I'm seeing a lot of Incineroar in this thread, but outside of Smash he really didn't get a ton of promotion.
