The last 6 fucking years of Pokemon have been "giving them a chance" and they have delivered disappointment after disappointment.
They had this one big chance to bring life back into the core games and they fumbled the fuck out of it by removing a core feature of the series, delivering subpar graphics and lying about their reasons as to why the first thing happened by saying that the second won't.
No, I'm not giving these games "a chance" they fucked it all up already.

Including all of the pokemon in a pokemon game is not a high standard, it's the absolute minimum. Pokemon games are held at the lowest standard possible for big video games and they even fail to reach that.

And? So what if I am a part of this "minority". The games have been seriously phoned in the last half decade. Gen 3 remakes that disappointed many, no 3rd version for XY, XY itself being kind of bland for a new gen game, SuMo being trash, the same trash being released again a year later with minor changes but in two versions, KANTOOOO remakes again but worse than the last remakes.
What the fuck else would you call these last 6 years other than a huge disappointment?

I agree. I know it's beating a dead horse at this point but if I could transfer all my previous teams I would give this game a go. Yes it is. We're at 1000+ different designs already. Expecting any development company to want to update ALL of them every other game as the number keeps increasing is retarded. Only a tiny minority of the playerbase actually cares about having every single Pokemon in the game.

In SS now they have to update ALL the textures and add MORE animations for Dynamax, AND there are ~200 more Pokemon than there were in XY, so now it requires far more work, which isn't worth it, so they cut the Pokedex.

If gf could handle the roster of the 3ds games with their tiny dev teams and absurdly short dev times, but suddenly can't for the switch, then I think there's some bullshit afoot. If it really is such a big issue, then maybe these games could use more resources (which they are perfectly capable of providing) and not be released on an annual basis, but I suppose that would be a pipe dream at this point.

I'm waiting for the reviews upon release, it doesn't look good so far, although I do like the new mons the poor quality and content cutting isn't something I'm okay with. I am kinda foolishly hoping their will be a patch or the major complaints will be addressed/fixed during the release which is why I'm still on the fence. Also I'm a huge pokefag which is why I'm on this board. I don't want Sword and Shield to suck, but it kinda looks like that's what happening.
