>>39795300To be quite honest I'm not sure if you're trolling, because to expect that somebody engage in a topic where you're effectively calling them both a moron and claiming they have awful opinions is very generous. I wish you would have been more upfront about it cause I could have run another Underlords game in the time it took me to detail my impressions and thoughts on the story.
You seem to have an inability to grasp the idea that people can resonate with flawed material. It happens with film, literature, music and so forth. It's the basis of "guilty pleasure." When you asked "what about the story did you like," I assumed it was just curiosity and not meant to segway my personal experiences into an argument I can't logically win, but seeing as how this is 4chan I should have probably known better. It's actually super annoying that everything needs to be an argument.
To once again elaborate, under normal circumstances, Tierno will probably not "fuck you up," but in my recent Nuzlocke run I thought it was funny that he had a Crawdaunt spamming Swords Dance and a Talonflame that dunked one of my party members. I prefaced from the beginning that many characters were simple, but I didn't mind. Drasna appealed to me cause she wasn't just intimidating, but had this sort of motherly, supporting feel to her, she was happy to see you there. (maybe your insult has value here)
Lastly I'm 27, my first Pokemon was Red, so no, this wasn't my first. I think XY came at a special time in my life and the first venture into "advanced" hardware, even with the flaws, culminated something special for me. After beating the post-game I started seriously breeding/battling for the first time too (tried in HGSS but got bored)
>>39795327At the time I didn't really have an impression of where the story was going, XY at the start doesn't have a very antagonstic feel, and imprints a theme of "discovery" in your mind. So when I saw him I wasn't instinctively thinking about villains.
