I actually like Tierno's character design, and felt the concept of a dancing-themed team was neat, but they absolutely squelched the execution on that.

And Trevor's gimmick of seeing who was filling in their Pokedex faster was at least novel, but damn you have to be deliberately trying to lose those competitions to actually do so. Other than that, he really is bland.

Yeah, but those are anime examples.
I guess I'm mostly pissed that you only find it out in an out of the way section of Lumiose after beating the game. It took me a bit into his sister's speech to realize who she was referring to.

Let's be real, you could probably remove them from the game and nothing would really change. You have to go out of your way to lose to Trevor, Tierno's dancing gimmick translated poorly to his battles, and Shauna's only there to be waifubait. It's sad how tacked on they are.
