I know grass types are scarce in Johto, but please don't use Bellsprout. As a person that loves the Victreebel line, it's slow and doesn't learn shit until years later. You're not gonna be able to do anything with it.

Unless you start with Chokorita, not really. Jumpluff's even worse than Victreebel.

You could get a Sun Stone from the bug contest and grab Bellossom, I guess.
