I nailed the Cute Charm exploit, so I've been playing through Platinum slowly. I've been too lazy to do more than run circles in friend safaris lately. What do you guys do when you're lazy but still wanna hunt?

I was doing that while friend safari hunting and still only finding 1 shiny in a full 10+ hours. I'm sure I'm just in a dry spell with my RNG luck but man.

yeah, the rare times when i'm bored and want to shiny hunt in lgpe, either they:

have some b/w hunts planned for september and october so i'm putting joltik on hold for now, gonna see if US raikou shines quickly (probably not, usually after a fast hunt (ho-oh was my last US hunt), a slow one follows it).

fave is 5 because of the variety of pokemon in the regional dex and the uniqueness of the routes and cities/towns.
least favorite is gen 4 because of the lack of type diversity in the regional dexes and the repetitive routes

love the comfy feel of alola. I just hate the sinnoh games and their stupid snow routes which just slows the pace of the game and holds nothing interesting

Welp, 100 encounters on Mt. Pyre was all it took to get my golden boy. Growlithe’s my personal favorite Pokemon but, not my favorite shiny.

Suggestions for the next hunt? I expected this to take longer.

Mareep in HG for a shiny badge quest. About 12k encounters in, across nearly 70 hours of on-off hunting (according to the ingame clock). I'd be happy with a shiny anything so I can beat Bugsy at this point.

I don't dislike any gens, but I go back to gen 1 the least, and I think it's mostly because I only have Red on cart so I can't transfer anything. I can't say for sure what my favorite gen is, but Crystal is my favorite game so I guess gen 2.
