I just started another black 2 nuzlocke after 3 years of not playing any pokemon, it's a lot easier than I remember. or maybe I know the game much better. I'm 10 hours in, no deaths, no sweat. I'm right before elesa. got lucky enough to catch a huge power azurill and I haven't had to worry about shit until this electric gym, caught a sandile just in time to make it an easy win

I think my luck ran out against Watson when I beat him with a Grovyle, Dustox, Gloom and Minun without losing anybody (I lost a Makuhita the route before which would have made beating his Magneton so much easier). Now against Flannery all the other pokemon I have are at a disadvantage (Grovyle, Dustox, Gloom, Lombre), are useless against Torkoal's defense (Machoke) or are just absolute shit (Minun).

Fun fact: In gen 1, when a Pokemon crits on a multi-hit attack, the whole attack counts as a crit, not just one of the hits.
I portrayed each of the double kicks as a single kick because I'm too lazy to draw Jolteon kicking 4 times. Just in case that sequence of events was a bit confusing.

Just began my autism-locke. Hoping I will finish before the semester starts. Emulator-speed helps, although I did lose a couple of mons to avoidable selfdestrictions. Anyway, blue is finished.

The lack of Grass types is something I am probably going to miss the most. First time I ever used a sandslash and by god he tore ass. Ninetails was a waste of exp. Fire types fucking suck late game.

surf, understandable, as it's been one of the few redeemable hms throughout the series. cut, maybe not so much, since it's just a tradeoff tackle with more power and slightly less accuracy. if you put it on a raticate/pidgeot for stab, it could be less of a liability, but otherwise it's probably not a good idea.

Neither of them get cut in gen 1, actually. Your choices early game are pretty limited to grass types, charmander, beedrill, sandshrew, and meowth.

A bit sad that I had to use nidoking this soon in my autism-locke, but C'est la vie. Raticate has been such a cool surprise, this is literally my first time using it seriously in all my 20 years of pokemoon gaming.

Wattson was easy in Sapphire (Marshtomp) and Emerald (Sunflower's bulk up + mach punch), but the fucker's magneton nearly ended my run in Ruby. Ares was paralyzed and at 2 hp when I won.

Don't underestimate Slaking.
It has the highest non-legendary Attack and BST in gen 3, and Rampardos is the only non-mega to outdo it in Attack.
Going against Norman without protect is a bad idea.

base game definitely, since it's much easier to remember/locate info about 'mons in the main series than it is in hacks. i'd say start with whatever region you've played the most, knowing exactly what's coming up next helps you plan and avoid team losses.

Turns out playing three games at the same time with nuzlocke runs is not just time consuming but extremely stressing. Gen 1 throws crits at you all the time, so if one of my Pokemon goes below half hp its switched out.

Zappy is a bit underwhelming, but the rest of the team is carrying him. It feels wrong to box Pikachu, but I might in order to get a Gyarados. Lt. Surge was super easy with Smeagol since he only had a Raichu.

>Blue
Boxed Zubat since its line are complete trash in gen 1. Dillaro swept Blue in the S.S. Anne by itself, and Lt. Surge right after all by himself. Easily the ace of the team.

>Red
I decided to give this run both Drowzee and Diglett, hoping to make this run easier. Digbo swept the gym by itself. Ground types seem to be the ace of all my teams so far, of course that's about to end since Erika is next.

nah jk, been thinking of (re)starting my own though with RBGY but i'm hesitant about it since the hardest part for my neat freak ass is ironically making the update images, but having something/one to run alongside of might get me to do it if i can get >>39807341 in order

sidenote/tip: if 'No repeating captures across games' includes future gens too, you might have to restructure the rule since from what it looks like, i don't think you can even play both FireRed and LeafGreen anymore as you've exhausted the entire pre-Brock catchlist save for the Bulbasaur line

Oh I'm perfectly ready for it. I have some handicaps set up for pokémon that gain forms later(so i don't, say, lock myself out of 7 different pokémon forever in one go because oops i grabbed an eevee), but a whole new "do i want to try and use this now and kick it out of my options for several generations/ever or do i surrender the area catch to leave it for later, and try to keep riding with what i have" element to the runs is introduced. 6-man teams are going to be the mark of a successful, generous or unovan run

Holy shit, Cherry saved the run. I set up 3 curses against Steven's skarmory and killed it with a flamethrower. After that he sent out metagross and she tanked 2 earthquakes and took it out with a heat wave and a flamethrower. From there, Kiwi and Soursop did in the rest of his team. The rest of the E4 was easy except for phoebe, who almost killed 1/2 the team with her sableye and second dusclops. Ruby is up next, any ideas for name schemes?

You know what, I re-read your post, and I got triggered for questioning my autism. I then downloaded a hack of Blue that turns it into Green, and started a Green run to prove my autism knows no limit.

Since I only had access to two Pokemon until Lt. Surge, it was super fast to catch up to the other three runs (no grinding), Big Boss pretty much took care of everything.

AAAAnnnd just beat the champion! This one was a bit rough. Blue's Gyarados wrecked both hypno and Nidoking, and like the legendary madlad he was Raticate ended his reign of terror. Fucking hell, this pokemon was pretty good before the critical rate-rework in gen 2 onwards. Omastar hardcountered charizard and, all in all, quite a fierce battle.

All in all, pretty successful run, considering I didn't grind as much this time. You really need an electric type with STAB or something that can neutralize Gyarados quickly to survive them. Lance's gyarados didn't get to do any damage cause hypno(R.I.P) Always landed his hit, but Blue got a fucking Crit-hyper beam, and I wouldn't trust a god to survive that, let alone a man. Could probably have saved nidoking had I instead switched into Omastar instead.

See, the way you do it is to get a hack that turns your US Blue into Jap Blue, which had different trades and encounter tables, with shit like Jynx and Lickitung actually in the wild or straight up evolved Dragonairs in the Game Corner, and Gengar/Golem actually available in-game via NPC trades(Kangaskhan and Tauros too so it's not a crapshoot in the Safari Zone)

Also, thanks to the universal randomizer, I can get trade Pokemon evolved, since I used the program to change impossible evolutions to level up evolutions. I think the level for them to evolve is 37 or 40 iirc.

Stepped into Route 22 hoping to get a Nidoran F/M or Mankey in order to fuck Brock up, and lucked out. If I had gotten a Spearow I might have had to grind forever, but thankfully Ares kicked Brock to death. It also seems like the wild encounter rate for Yellow in Viridian Forest is like 3x as much as the other three, making the Pidgey encounter inevitable.

I skipped the Route 22 rival fight, as did the next to routes, hoping to avoid a wild encounter there since I wanna save as many as I can for future gens, or in case I get stuck in these runs. Got lucky and had no encounters in Viridian Forest, and Tlaloc solo'd the gym.

Unfortunately found a Kakuna, who I stupidly grinded to level 10 thinking it would get an attacking move. I used Harden's PP in case Surtr were to get fainted by Brock, so I could Struggle and maybe win. It didn't come to that, and Surtr evolved after the battle.

Found a Metapod, might be useful thanks to that Confusion. Osiris easily swept the first gym.

In retrospective I should not have done Green last because I'm forced to encounter Paras in Mt. God damn the yellow early game was awkward as fuck. I lost pikachu and pidgeotto to misty of all people, and then lost ANOTHER pidgeotto. I decided to number the birds instead of giving them names. So "bird three" is now a pidgeot, and I decided to use the marowak glitch so I could get a dratini early in the safari zone. The gamble worked and my first encounter was a dratini when I fished. If you remember my last run, you'll notice I condensed the run into a single segment. I always took the dupe clause to mean "I /can/ skip it if I've already caught it", but I do play it fair in the sense that if I've decided to catch something and I accidentally kill it, then I can't just say "dupes clause" and try again
The champ part of it I do count as "I absolutely cannot catch this Pokemon, at all"

It was a painful journey through kanto. A region, three time conquered, filled with surprises. The survivors, chosen by the lord:

And that was Gen 1. Have to say, I can definitely call myself a genwunner. It is incredible how I could play thorugh the game 3 times over the course of 3 days and NOT grow tired of the region. I think it had to do with the glitchy critical hit-coding and the possibility of sequence braking to get to the safari zone(where all my fave monsters are). Now we are looking west, towards Johto!

Fighting has a lot more than one my guy. You got Karate Chop, Double Kick, Submission, Seismic Toss, Low Kick, and the Hitmonlee signature kicks (which I guess don't count since they're signature moves).

Bug has two moves, although only Beedrill (a shitmon) gets them. Also the only reason you'd want to use Bug moves is against Psychics, but Beedrill is weak to them so yeah I give you that.

Everything else you're saying is horribly true, I'm experiencing all that as I'm going through my four playthroughs. Bag management is the worst in any game.

As for Twineedle, Beedrill fucking annihilates Erika's Gym--Poison's weak to bug in RBY and thusly the myriad of Oddish/Bellsprout line specimens in Celadon are 4x weak to the Big Beenis. And that's discounting any Exeggcutes in there as well. Jolteon gets Pin Missile, whilst Zubat/Paras/Venomoth all get Leech Life.

Dragon has no excuse.

This update was such a grind. Having to go through Rock Tunnel, the game corner, and the Pokemon Tower four times in a row really takes a toll on you. Thankfully repels exist, so it made it oh so much less painful than it could've been.

Had a pretty easy time going through this update. Hermes is proving to be pretty strong, although I had a lot of close calls due to how frail he is. I fear I may eventually lose him to one of such calls. I also discovered that Gust is a Normal type move in Gen 1, so I had Aelous beat most trainers in order to get that sweet Wing Attack for Erika and her gym.

Finallly getting some good move coverage, I really like how Gen 1 gives you some good TM's so early in the game. The whole team saw plenty of use this time around, but Coatlicue surprised me with how strong he was. I had never used the Zubat line until Platinum, so it was nice to find it was somewhat usable in Gen 1.

>Red
I had a disastrous encounter with a Geodude in Rock Tunnel and unfortunately Surtr has fainted. R.I.P. fire buddy. Freya is such a powerhouse, I feel I could solo the game with her, but thankfully Loki with Dig has been able to keep up so I don't have to.

>JP Blue
Rock Tunnel was kind of a struggle since Absorb has such low PP, and the rest of my team mostly had Normal moves before reaching Celadon. Once I got to Celadon though things became much easier thanks to TMs. Erika was swept by Dalia easily.

I switch-trained Diglett until it evolved, and after I nearly lost Dugtrio like 6 times. I only use it against Rock/Electric/Poison types (Dig) and switch it out against any other type. So I either one shot everything or nearly die trying.

Low 60s I think. Depends what you've got. You'll want at least the 70s in HGSS though. Last time I wen to 80 in SS, on cartridge, and trashed him. HGSS does at least let you spam rematches as long as you look up who you can fight and when, making grinding a bit less shit than in the originals (where you have turbo anyway most likely).

Forreal, thanks to Guard Spec (and by extention Mist) lasting eternally in Gen 1-2 (until you switch out), you just have to pop one and then Pikachu can only Quick Attack you, leaving you free to set up

Seeing as I had just lost Surtr the Charmeleon, my team was really lacking firepower so I decided to let Red have the Snorlax. Loki was the star of the team one-shotting everything in Koga's gym with Dig.

Perkunas was pretty great on the way to Fuscia, since the cycling road was full of Poison (Dig) and the Eastern route was full of Flying (Thunderbolt). I fished a Krabby in order to have a Surf and Strength. Will have to grind for a while in order to make him usable. Gabija is also falling behind so lots of grinding incoming probably.

I made it a rule on my own I have to CATCH every Legendary, mostly because KOing them is quite simple since you're potentially 6-v-1 and also potentially with type advantage. Of course, I can't use them, but the challenge is weathering the storm while you try to get them.
Otherwise I'd also add postgame trainer fights (Red of course, Steven in Emerald, the Rival in Gen 4, etc) to the list.

Thanks people, and as >>39819579 said, the pokémon sprites are from Pinball, with the trainer sprites coming from the TCG game (although Barb's is edited to fit with the other three's look). Luckily the game has all 151 in it, although I'm not sure how I'll develop the template for future gens. Guess I'll burn that bridge once I come to it.

Well, time for my first randomized nuzlocke. I only randomized wild encounters and battles so items and moves are still the same. My rival chose the fucking Deoxys-A that was available but it got changed to an Electrike, probably because I made it so that his starter also changes every time. The third option was Torkoal, anyways, it begins.

What do you guys make of segmented or otherwise particularly large areas? I'm doing Platinum right now and Sinnoh does have a lot of them. Just Mt. Coronet has four different distributions with distinct level brackets, and there's Route 210 North and South as well, to name a few

I did Pearl recently and took all segmented routes as single areas. I did however allow for 3 Coronet catches: first visit, post-strength visit and post-rock climb visit, doing the repel-scum thing to check on the last one to look for any catch of interest on the summit's outside

Posted my Sun Wonderlocke start like a week ago in the last thread. Haven't had too much time lately but I made enough progress to justify an update. Totem Gumshoos was super annoying, flinched me a good 4 times. But we made it through. Forgot how quickly traded Pokemon get experience, so abiding by the level limit has been tough. I've avoided using Bug Zapper to steamroll everything because of his high level, but once we're in Akala that won't be an issue. Onwards to Hala and whatever else you actually do on Melemele after Totem Gumshoos.

I separate them just because the more encounters the merrier. Pinwheel Forest in BW I separated between inside and outside so I could get another encounter before Lenora. It's really up to you though, if you want the challenge of limiting yourself then go for it.

I needed to grind a little so I headed to the Cycling Road, and the encounter there was Doduo. Odin proved to be a beast against everything it faced, nearly solo'ing Sabrina and Team Rocket, which is how it managed to catch up to the team's levels so quickly.

I forget exactly how this battle went since it was hours ago, but Gary killed Perkunas the Raticate, and Sabrina killed Dalia the Nidoqueen. I went to get Eevee in Celadon, hoping Jolteon will provide some nice coverage now that my heavy hitters have died.

Went with this and Blue first to try and pick off Pokémon that would be terrible against Brock, but aside from Drillo who I found as a Kakuna, I basically encountered exclusively Pokémon I wanted to leave for the other runs, so that's why the latter just went solo-run on the gym.

Wanted to try and make it a point to beat Brock without evolving into Charmeleon, but hitting Lv. 16 after beating Onix basically made it an irrelevant effort in terms of showing off. I was ready to try and be clever by swapping Glacier out if he burned Geodude so Darts could wait it out, but turns out Ember being a special attack just ruins Brock's team.

Went a little overboard with the catches, but I'm no Ash; Chuka would've been defined shite against Brock. Luckily, I managed to not only get Freebu to Confusion-fuck Brock up, but a Nidoran as back-up in the team too(Even though I would've preferred if it showed up to Grace too.) PS: I always forget Brock has infinite Full Heals for some reason.

Right, next up is Misty. Let's hope that Mt. Moon Raticate doesn't fuck anyone up.

For me I usually divide up areas if the encounter tables are different enough, Route 212 for example could've easily been two different routes, and considering Mt. Coronet is so goddamn huge, I decided to split it into four; 1F, B1F, 2F+ (inside areas) and the outside area. In the end, you're only able to bring 6 Pokemon with you, so having one or two extra Pokemon to catch just adds to the variety, you're still following the nuzlocke rules by not catching more than one per area and having to catch the first one you see, so I don't think it really breaks with the spirit of the challenge

The shortest update thus far, felt extremely long however due to the grinding. God bless emulators and the speedup button.

Repels all over the mansion to avoid encounters, tons of grinding in the Cycling Road, where Yellow encountered a Fearow.

After losing Coauitle the Golbat in Blue I wasn't sure where to try and catch another Pokemon without encountering a shitmon, repeating a type, or encountering a Pokemon that might be useful in the future gens, so I said fuck it and went to the Safari Zone, where I encountered and managed to catch Patecatl. Hopefully he'll be useful in the Elite Four.

Blaine was the easiest gym thus far I think. Poseidon/Tlaloc/Hodr/Ukko solo'd Blaine.

Probably. Snivy line is usually considered the best design of the bunch, but Serperior is outclassed by pretty much every other Unova grass type.

Yes. I heavily dislike the design of Pignite and Emboar, and the Snivy line is like Chikorita 2.0 in how useless it is. I do like the Oshawott line, but even then its meh.

Lillipup is pretty amazing though I have to agree, the only route 1 mon (other than Pidgey in Gen 1) that I have ever used past the first gym.

Well yeah, kind of have to pace myself; Permanently trading between runs is cheating and catching everything within sight is the easiest way to fuck yourself in the long run, specially with the Kanto Dex being prevalent in 12 different games (this being why I included the Mulligans, to mitigate future Hardcore Solo runs from being a thing.) You really have to be careful to only catch what you need.
For example; This time I lost several encounters to Rattata, thankfully didn't encounter any NidoranF and intentionally dropped my chance for an early Mankey in Yellow. Rattata isn't all that helpful as an addition(but isn't weak to Rock at least), Both Nidorans get Double Kick and while Mankey WOULD have been great vs. Brock, I figured that's exactly why I should leave it for FRLG when all I have available pre-Brock's going to be those 3 + potential Pikachu if I don't get one in GSC after it gets reintroduced due to Pichu. I figured Squirtle and Bulbasaur didn't need any help atm, Beedrill was caught to help force a Butterfree for either Charmander or Pikachu teams. and Spearow similarly to help force a Mankey later.
Had things went ideally I wouldn't have doubled on Brock coverage for Pikachu, but fortunately Charmander handled him just fine.

TL;DR Every catch has possible consequences down the line so they have to have thought behind them beyond "in case of emergency i guess"

Geodude is nearly impossible not to get and can cover those early gyms. Meganium is also actually a good Pokemon, it's just got terrible matchups and tends to be dead weight for the Elite Four. ...but Snivy is quite possibly the most useful of the 3 Unova starters AND the best Grass-type, at least in B2W2.
Why? It heavily improves from BW:
-Gains Aqua Tail, Iron Tail, Dragon Pulse, Knock Off, Giga Drain, Outrage, and Energy Ball to its pre-E4 coverage list. Previously, you were limited without breeding to Return, Leaf Blade, Hidden Power, Dragon Tail, Strength, Grass Knot, and Aerial Ace. Fairly shit, no?
-It's bulkier AND faster than Lilligant and gets more relevant setup options. The flowre only gets Quiver Dance and Growth that work with its stats. Snekh gets Calm Mind, Swords Dance, AND the vaunted Coil.
-Amoongus has a better defensive niche and movepool, but Serperior isn't all that less bulky. Tank-oriented offense, which Serperior does better at, is arguably more important in Nuzlockes anyway.
-Simisage? LOL. Only advantage that thing has is better physical coverage. It's shit otherwise, it's literally a worse Serperior in stats.
-Nobody really considers Leavanny a Grass-type...until the Fliers and Fire-types come home to roost. Suffers the same problems as BW Serperior when it comes to coverage, just replace DTail with SClaw.
-Sunflora is Sunflora. A based bromon, but useless unless you're willing to cough up enough shards for a shitmon (which needs Chlorophyll to succeed in most situations) to learn Earth Power.
-Whimsicott is best in doubles. Eh.
-You're probably never even gonna *see* a Leafeon outside a facility before the National Dex unless you, yourself, put in the cheese and legwork to look for Eevee in Castelia Park.
-Maractus is cool but irrelevant.
-Roserade is rather boring when it comes to Unova, and Amoonguss is better for the region anyway.
-I like Sawsbuck, but better Normal type options exist. It may have the best coverage of all Grass-types though, despite its rather shit STAB combo. Return, Wild Charge, Jump Kick, Megahorn, and Horn Leech is a fucking lethal movepol. It gets Bounce in B2W2 as well!

-Ferrothorn is decently strong, but anti-stallfags may be averse. It's honestly a potential lynchpin for your team, but if you lack any real patience to train up a defensive stalwart, I'd refrain.
-Tangrowth is good as a mixed attacker, but it might be too slow to be worth it. Focus Blast is an essential move that doesn't come until post-game, though.

No, Snivy is still the worst. Half the moves you listed are either postgame, stupidly late, not that good (lol Iron Tail is pointless), or locked behind battle facilities which are murky ruleswise and most people don't bother to do. It's bulk isn't that great in this region and it's offensively weak.

Oshawott is in my opinion the best Unova starter. Solid and reliable, and there are fewer good Waters than usual. Grass types are pretty common and there's actually good Fire types this time round. Tepig is good too as it starts out really well but gets worse and worse as the game goes on.

Politoed is probably the better option in GSC. Poliwrath only gets Rock Smash/Dynamicpunch/Submission for Fighting STAB and has less Special Attack for things like Surf and Ice Punch.

Poliwrath is a fantastic nuzlocke mon in later games though, had a really good time using it in Sun.

I deeply regret not grinding for the last battle against my rival before the league. His Alakazam wrecked me pretty hard in Blue and JP Blue, making me lose Ometotl the amazing Sandslash and Ukko the incredible Kingler.

I went back to the Silph Co. and got me a Lapras to make up for the loss of my Water/Ice user, and I got an Electrode for no real reason, I just didn't know what to get anymore.

Time to get through Victory Road and grind a lot. I'll probably get like 3~4 new encounters since I plan on grinding there.

And yeah, Bidoof is the only wild shiny I've ever found on a clean rom or cartridge, without any RNG bullshit either. The only other shiny I've randomly chanced upon is my starter for this current blind X run, Chespin. No manipulation either. It's fucking absurd. Both within like a couple months of each other.

Well, Fantina was harder than I remembered in Platinum, hers being the third gym really limits how much you can prepare for her, I suppose. She took out my Psyduck and Monferno, the former was your standard crit Shadow Ball from her Mismagius and the later was me learning the hard way it also carries Psybeam. Fortunately, I already had a Crobat, which could take one Psybeam so I could flinchhax her to death with bites, so yeah, having a fully evolved Pokemon at this point is very useful.
I never have high hopes for late evo mons like Psyduck, but losing your starter always sucks, gonna have to look what to replace him with

This fight scared the shit out of me, though I had a good idea. Against the slakings, I would send out Taro to lower its attack than switch to Onion to tank the incoming Facade. Though this was sketchy for the first few attempts, with a focus punch nearly killing onion. Some potions made it possible for Habanero to kill them.

Red was next. It's ironic how this run became the easiest one in the end, since I expected it to be the hardest at the beginning. Losing a starter early on is a bitch, but having lost Beedrill and being stuck with an underlevel'd Clefairy and a shitmon Ekans was rough.

Everyone had their little moment in the sun in this run, but Freya was fucking amazing. At least in the other runs I had mons that I previously used (Nidoking/Blastoise/Pikachu), but this run was full of Pokemon I had never used before, and I was pleasantly surprised at how strong they are. Freya probably the MVP of all 4 runs.

Japanese Blue is last. It was honestly easier than I expected. Both Nidoqueen and Rattata are Pokemon I overlooked in the past, but they carried me long enough to build a decent team. Wish I hadn't lost the original with Bulbasaur though.

Well, I'm undecided on which of the two ways I could go about it I'll use, but I could either
A) Just straight import previous final teams as 1:1 as I can on the current generation for the purest type of battle, although with time that'll mean older teams get outpaced due to just straight up better moves and mon, or
B) Slowly upgrade them (read: evolve crossgens, teach new moves, fill empty slots) with each generation so they aren't potentially joke fights, even if that means the current gen's runs may be at a disadvantage

In either case, I'd just generate the necessary Pokémon into game saves compatible with the gen's 3d battler and host the battles there in the game's free battle mode (although Gen 3 and 4's involve increasingly asinine ways to get shit going.) If worse comes to worst, I'll do like Twitchplays did and just slap the teams onto NPCs and figure it out from there

The team is starting to shape up nicely, I had to catch a random nidoran for cut purposes, also not overlevelling is proving to be hard, I started skipping many trainers otherwise I'd have been at a higher level than Erika (though I haven't fought Giovanni nor Blue in Lavender yet so yeah).

My rule is that if I encounter a shiny of a Pokemon that I have not caught yet across games/generations, I can catch it. Meaning I'm allowed to catch two mons per route if one happens to be a shiny.

Pretty restrictive, but then again, I don't really care about shinies.

Also, the same day the Adapter broke, my Doublade Rubilax got killed by Calem's Meowstic outside the Anistar Gym. It seems that particular line is cursed for me... Honedge in Y was one of my deaths that run as well.

Feraligatr is only debatably better in gen 4 because of phys/special split, Kingdra is very good but it's a trade evo and the only other water type I'd say is better is Suicune, a legendary. The other water mons aren't as good as Lapras, who I'd like to remind you that gets STAB ice beam

Feraligatr is the best or second best in-game mon in the entirety of GSC, with only Alakazam as a real contender. It will have a gargantuan level lead on Lapras at any point given the same amount of training thanks to their different EXP groups. It also has Ice Punch the moment you get to Goldenrod, while Lapras has no Ice STAB until Level 36 unless you grind coins for Blizzard.
I do agree that Lapras beats out the rest of the new Water-types, but not by a crushing margin, especially considering its slower leveling.

I'm only at level 63 across the board after beating every single trainer in the game and beating the 2 ace trainers outside the Chansey Dance house in Seven Island many, many times. Yes I want to be around level 70 before I face the league rematch. Not that it's a nuzlocke but still, you'll be there for a while.

That's what I thought I did. I let slowpoke hold the item from level 34-36 and nothing happened. When he hit 37 he started to evolve into slowbro, despite holding the item.

I forgot how easy Falkner is in these games.

The day/night system is annoying because it limits what I can catch, but in a way it also helps me avoid encounters that I might want to save, like Gastly.

Overall nothing much happened in this update, just caught a bunch of Pokemon.
