difficult question, oras butchered the soundtrack SM/usum don't let you play the game and that gets in the way of comfy and I barely remember anything about XY

XY, without a doubt.
ORAS was garbage, but I expected that because I couldn't be pissed to play the originals either (I borrowed the copy from my friend, who was also underwhelmed).
S/M broke my spirit, I can't tell you how disappointed I was by it. US/UM was only marginally better.

Basically this. SuMo/USUM don't even let you get your own ball rolling. Never have any semblance of freedom and adventure in the games. Also the routes are shit.
ORAS can be comfy but I played often muted because just enough songs were not enjoyable.
XY were ok.
XY were the comfiest by process of elimination.

It's easy. Way too easy.
It lacks post game content, but really the biggest slight against it is that it's just way too easy.
Most trainers have very few Pokemon, they are under-leveled and they only carry 3 moves with no coverage.

This can be "rectified" by turning off exp share. I did this and was under-levelled myself for most of the game. Not that it changes much because I was still one-shotting just about everything.

Nah man, even with exp share off there is so much available exp from trainers and the levels go up so slowly for the actual trainers that they are even underleveld without exp share.
EXP share just makes it so you are 20+ levels ahead of the league when you get there,

Probably ORAS, it's poor remake but at least gives you the most freedom. Fuck SM/USUM for removing every single piece of discovery, they need to explain you everything and treat you like mental disabled.

I played it for the first time a month ago, I stopped before fourth gym because it was straightforward as fuck. I feel the guys who call it "hallway simulator" because XY seems like it is exactly that. Everything is just plain boring and way too easy.

I've skipped SM, but USUM is definitely way better than XY.
