Kanto and the Orange Islands are only carried by nostalgia and its early-installment zaniness due to a lack of strictness from executives, Johto is literal shit, Hoenn and the Battle Frontier are forgettable beyond waifufaggotry, Sinnoh had some great battles but solidified that Ash can literally never win a league, Unova is literal shit, Kalos is OK at best and reminded everyone that Ash can literally never win a league, and Alola is what happens when you try to recapture the zaniness of Kanto but force it instead of letting it come naturally, all the while still dealing with executive strictness.
