I don't like Dynamax but I will pick it over megas just because of the butthurt it causes megafags. Just look at this thread. Megas are the single worst thing to happen to the franchise. Dynamax is the second worst.

This. Mega are interesting because the types and abilities might be changed at any turn in battle. Its also more challenging to battle opponents with megas too. Im glad it was added and i hate its being replaced.

I like dynamax more because EVERY Pokémon can use it. With Megas you pretty much had to hope that your favorite mon would get one with each release. The fact that Gen 7 introduced no new megas was pretty telling.

That said, I think they both are shitty gimmicks.

Dynamaxing is objectively better from a balance standpoint.

It can't be used anywhere in the game to cheese every NPC, only lasts three turns you so can't just mindlessly press it the second you bring a Pokemon out, Max Guard allows you to immediately counterplay with any Pokemon that has a status move, and it works on any Pokemon in your party at any point in the battle instead of just being more team building item based bullshit biased toward whatever Game Freak feels like shilling.

People only like Megas because they're retards who feel good about their bro getting a buff in the form of a retarded gimmick instead of a proper permanent change.

Dynamaxing, yes. Gigantamaxing, fuck no.
Look at Alcremie's G-Max move. A nuke that also heals the entire team. This is the very definition of game breaking, and why Gigantamaxing shouldn't exist in the first place.
