Jokes aside, unless they do something like getting the composers who did the great remixes for the first Stadium game, it's impossible for DPP's soundtrack to be improved. ORAS all over again. They'd be better off just using the original DPP soundtrack in the remakes

They're gonna remake them eventually, hgss will be remade as let's go games likely with the main ones being marill and togepi with only gen 1 and 2 pokemon and shit go mechanics. I'm guessing sinnoh will be remade after, but it will be Diamond and Pearl remakes, so they will use it's shit graphics, no battle frontier cause Post Z has seconds long attention spans, boring post game, watered down plot, and only reference to Platinum will be a mega episode involving Arceus which will be the only good part of the game. It's gonna look much worse than the originals and they're gonna bring back cool stuff like the underground, which people will like, but the removal of customizable pokeballs and the pal park and safari zone will piss /vp/ off. It will get the same reputation as ORAS, as gamefreak doesn't give a fuck anymore.

Maybe Game Freak should stop making too many Pokemon games so quickly. I would've outsourced the remakes to other companies with a more eager passion for Pokemon rather than a company that is likely burnt out on it. Pokemon Colosseum was pretty decent.

I could forgive the Connection Orb thing as it made it easier to "catch em all" and be a completionist, though I do also prefer randomized missions.
The difficulty spike and the shitty ending was also bad. The break system was also a "What were the thinking?!"-tier feature.

Remakes don't ruin your childhood. Your childhood already happened, and any actions that happen after the fact doesn't change what has happened.
That said, remakes, either good or bad, gives me a better appreciation of what the originals had, whether its the battle mechanics, graphics, music, etc. Nothing captures playing the original games like actually going back and playing those games.

It was much easier to develop games for the DS than the 3DS. Which is also why so many companies got pretty experimental which led to the excellent library the DS ended up with.
