Those stats only show moves that were revealed, so in Muk's match it only had to use Curse and Sludge Bomb.

That sounds fucking terrible no thanks. It's worse than Snorlax but damn near every mon in this game is, doesn't mean it would be healthy for the game or even enjoyable.

Also, why is my bro Exeggutor not any good at all in Ubers, when it is a top 5 Pokémon in OU? Zapdos, Steelix and so on seem to be pretty great.

Snorlax being such an overcentralizing force is what eventually lead to the ban of the first non-legendary pokemon in Gen 3: Wobbuffet.

If you applied the new gen philosophy to GSC it would definitely be banned, but most people agree that Snorlax makes GSC more fun and competitive and it's hard to make radical changes to such an old meta.

Mewtwo suffers hard from four move syndrome in gen 2, while Mew's fucked by the physical/special split still not being a thing until gen 4. Snorlax has no such shortcomings.
