There is a certain image to uphold with these nice child friendly RPGs being at the front, rather than gacha panty quest. I doubt the recent mainline games have been big budget projects anyway. Maybe output will slow, but they'll shit something out every few years.
Worst case scenario is if they move mainline to mobile, even then though I think they will want to avoid pumping it full of micro-transactions to avoid horrible news coverage. I mean pokemon is a perfect series for loot boxes and they have avoided that in mainline games so far.
>>39834510This pretty much, it ain't going to be FGO or GBF but the game will be a success for a few years. It won't last that long, but they probably already have a few gachas in the works for when it closes in 2-3 years. The model for most companies is swoop in, drain the otaku and then dump it. They were always going to do well enough out of it, it won't change their mind about anything as the whole plan was probably set.
