I'll never stop enjoying the Pokemon their selves but I already dropped the games long ago, GameFreak is pathetic and spin-offs are dead outside of mobileshit. Do want to give Conquest a try at some point though.

Stopped playing after SM and skipped USUM (DLC marketed as a full game yet sold separately and at full price) and LGPE (stupid filler remakes). I'm tired of Kanto shilling, mechanics/innovations being cut each gen, spoiler marketing and the games being rushed before release. I'm giving one final chance to the franchise by waiting for SwSh reviews, if the games suck and still follow the recent games' direction I'm dropping the franchise forever.

Just played PMD Sky for the first time and I greatly enjoyed it. I've been playing the few spin off games I missed out on during my maingame break I currently am on (did one after black 2 and I dont regret it, played gen 7 tho and got pokemon X used for 10 bucks because I thought clawitzer looked cool)
Gotta say tho, gen 8 looking real uninteresting and so far none of the pokemon have been hits for me.

SwSh are the best games ever and they aren't even out yet. Since I dropped Pokemon, I lost weight, cleaned myself up, started going to the gym, started doing more outdoor activities, started learning new skills and picking up meaningful hobbies beyond just playing games all day, and am living life to its fullest. I finally feel fulfilled, like I have a new lease on life, and I owe it all to Pokemon Sword and Shield for being so mediocre that it was like a slap in the face, waking me up from my Pokemon-induced comatose state. Yugioh Duel Links is unironically great, or was when I played it on and off these past couple of years.
Only gacha-like game I put any time into, it has actual depth to it and is very pvp focused.
Masters is just a complete boring waste of time.
