I don't think Eternatus is going to be a fighting type. The dogs seems very likely to be fighting or steel (likely both), but Eternatus was called the "evil legendary" and doesn't appear to be a third member of the trio given how it's playing a role in the initial game.

Ampharos was supposed to be a dragon type from day one, hence why Mareep loses its wool and becomes a lizard. GF probably rebalanced it but kept the name in because they used to care about dragons only being lategame.

Yes, Eternatus may be evil, so it could end up being Psychic (as this seems to be used for evil legends) Eternatus could end up being part Ghost too, since Ghost Types don't die naturally (as far as I'm aware). So Psychic/Ghost (or Ghost/Psychic) as a mist form then with either it's sword or shield it may drop Ghost for Fighting (Sword) or Steel (Shield) if it takes bak its tools
