>>39845113>I can use rotations of Pokemon as I playGen 5 already had the perfect solution to that. Thanks to the way experience was handled, you could have a new Pokemon up to speed in far less time than it would take using the Gen 6 Exp. Share, and you could reduce that further if you stuck around a route to spawn Audino. It was even designed to prevent over-leveling, so I'm seriously not sure why they removed it.
>>39849589While I like the idea of TMs as a limited resource that you have to use wisely, the growth in popularity of competitive play made this pretty much necessary. It also has an easy fix in that GF could've just started giving enemy trainers better movesets to compensate, but that didn't really happen.
>>39849805But there's even less challenge in having all your Pokemon at the very least on par with the current boss's ace. Besides, the level curve in pre-Gen 6 Pokemon games was generally such that, if you fought all the trainers along the way between towns, your team would be perfectly in line with the next boss. Grinding only became an issue if you wanted to swap in a new Pokemon, but like I mentioned above, Gen 5 offered a perfect solution to that.
