They are purposely not revealing as much because of everything that was leaked during Sun and Moon. It was even mentioned in an interview. Starter evos aren’t revealed until beginning of October. Look at the archive on Serebii.net

That's not how it should work, especially with the fact they're cutting a shit load of mons still
They SHOULD be showing us more cuz this is essentially a shitshow only really hardcore NPCs are still "excited" about and actual fans are probably just gonna buy literally anything else on or not on the switch
I personally, am gonna buy Astral Chain cuz it looks fucking dope and see what else P5 royal got since i haven't bought the base version

I think people are more worried that not a lot has been shown because there's not a lot to show in the first place, so far what I've seen is very underwhelming and doesn't make me want to buy it, they haven't shown anything exciting and I think that's what people with hope left are wanting.

With what they revealed so far and their recent history of showing everything, I'm worried this game is going to lack any content. Game Freak probably thought that the Wild Area was enough content.

I think the reason it feels so lacking is because they showed the magnum opus (wild area) months ago, and now a few pokemon every month doesn't feel substantial enough. The story elements are vague and the pokejobs weren't even shown in the English trailer. There is no big hook like a new type or something. Dynamax and such feel like less exciting retreads of stuff we saw in the last 2 generations.

Basically the only thing they have going for them is new pokemon/forms. But at the rate they have shown so far... makes me feel like we are getting very few new pokemon /forms, which makes the dex culling feel even worse.

I'm hoping they cancel the Unova remakes in favour of a regional retcon where Unova becomes the 1st region in the game series to lose its league, then gets attached to Sinnoh as an extra with all the starters handed to you as they have no use as starters anymore.

They obviously decided to slow down
They got backlash for Sun and Moon.
The difference is that X and Y still had a bunch of unrevealed Mega’s.
Sun and Moon literally only had the alolan geodude line that they didn’t spoil with trailers.
