FRLG look worse than RSE because, while there may be graphical tweaks, the game looks extremely generic, which makes it look like my mom's JRPG.

I love FRLG but I do agree that it looks kinda generic. I'm always hesitant to play any hack based on FRLG for this reason.

But it may be just because I've replayed FRLG out of any game in the series so the visuals are deeply ingrained into my mind at this point.

Shota Kageyama isn't as bad as this board says he is. I'd personally rank him just below Ichinose and Sato as my favorite series composers.
