>>39854568Lately I've been picturing a league that's less of a sport association with gyms and more like each gym is a temple or shrine on some kind of big pilgrimage journey-to-the-west road. And each gym leader is just there to test you and give you some kind of spiritual advice to prepare you for the next step of the journey and the stronger Pokémon that live between their shrine and the next one. Maybe Totem Pokémon or similar boss monsters every now and then. I dunno.
