Yes, I'm at the full-on apathy stage.

This series is fucking dead and buying or not-buying the game won't matter, development is too tied into the global pokemon machine to a point where we'll never get a mainline release with proper time and care put into it.

They're going to be rushed to make sure release times with anime, merch and other tie-ins, and our purchase won't affect that at all.

Gonna buy it to just play online with some friends on Switch for a bit, then I'll move on. Fuck it.

And this is coming from someone who at least didn't buy the abortion that was LGPE.

I don't care. I'm far from an addict; I've never bought both versions. Never played a spin-off. Didn't play Gen VII for years until someone gifted it to me.

This one looks fun "enough." I'm not autistic and I don't care about catching them all or porting over old mons. I'll just play through it then make an online team and battle friends for a while. Then I'll move on.

That's all I'm expecting, and if you expect more then prepare to be eternally disappointed. It's only going to get worse from here, and your purchase doesn't matter. The shit games are effectively subsidized by cards, toys and mobile games.

It's too late to take a stand against this shit series. It's been in serious decline since Gen VI.

I have almost given up on the franchise desu, loosely following things on and off to see if there is any sign of them ever improving but I can't see it happening.

Others can have fun with it if they want.

Yeah, might try to hold off and buy used tho. SM sucked but I still enjoyed my time with it, and this seems to suck a little bit less other than dexit, which I am opposed to but I also have always been too lazy to transfer mons forward and just use what's available anyway so it doesn't technically affect me.

No, and the lack of a national dex isn’t even the main reason. The game just doesn’t look that fun. The shit graphics, lifeless overworld, stupid dynamax gimmick, terrible character designs (not all but enough), and inevitable piss-easy difficulty are all reasons why I just don’t care anymore.
