zap cannon and inferno are just completely worthless moves by design
no competitive player would use them, and casual players who just beat the e4 and drop the game don't use them because they don't care about statuses and 5pp + 50% accuracy is not appealing when flamethrower and thunderbolt are handed to you on a silver platter

Pretty much, not even Defog/Gravity guarantee they will hit, so it's not worth setting up for it. The only reason Dynamic Punch isn't just as garbage is because Machamp gets No Guard
