It's creepy. There was a time when you'd be scared to talk pokemon in public. I saw a fucking gang of 5 playing Go in a bus yesterday and being embarrassingly loud. I live in an eastern Europe shithole and it was almost midnight ffs. I'm a /vp/ turbo autist but going on raids minutes after midnight is still insane to me.

Pokemon GO would not have been so successful if it wasn't for the core games and the fans of said games. They say that word of mouth is the best advertising that you can get. Fans of the regular games pulled more people into playing GO and the popularity of the franchise as a whole was also responsible for its success. I wish they could see this and would use it as inspiration to put even more resources into the main series as well as GO rather than trying to make everything more like GO.

How is the revenue for Go split between Nintendo/TPC and Niantic? 50/50? Because Nintendo/TPC afaik did not develop this game, and only provided the trademark rights

means nothing really. everyone stopped playing after the first month, so there could be a miniscule 2 percent increase in players this month compared to the other ones and it would still be the "best" month since launch.
