6+. Every Pokémon soundtrack has been at least decent IMO, and I doubt this will be any different.
But >>39885735 has a point. I wish they'd go the extra mile and actually make some new compositions rather than putting new spins on the same basic tune we've had forever. Although to be fair the gym leader theme that we've heard seems to be doing just that.

We've heard some music already, and some of it I like immediately (route theme from first trailer) while others are an acquired taste (gym leader theme)

Also something about that Wild Battle Theme reminds me of HGSS

It's a short snippet but I don't like what I hear so far

Overall I predict a 7/10 for this soundtrack. I like that Go Ichinose is heavily involved but at the same time some the instruments sound cheap and it seems like some battle themes will suck.

Bede's is easily the frontrunner for me, and the gym leader battle isn't bad. But god, the wild battle theme (especially the intro) is terrible.

Which is a shame because it's what we'll be hearing most. It honestly sounds fanmade. Terribly generic.

Yeah. Even if you run, you're still gonna hear the intro every time. It's the only battle theme in the entire franchise that makes me wince when I hear it. Just awful.

from those the only one i personally like is the Gym Battle one, but then again, i usually only like like 3 or 4 tracks from the whole pokemon soundtrack of each game

8 so far, love the EDM influence on the gym theme and bede's theme (which is almost eurobeat). It makes sense cuz the UK was one of the main origin spots if EDM. I also don't mind the bagpipes, ppl dismiss them way too quickly

I've listened to the Gym leader theme several times now and still can't for the life of me remember any particular point besides the very beginning of the song. Shit's just completely discordant any which way I try to spin it and can now for the first time in my life have a half understanding of what Hank Hill means when he says "It's all just toilet sounds."
