A big portion of the people that are hyped about the games that visit /vp/ don't voice their enthusiasm on /vp/ anymore because Dexiters always shit up the threads and/or spam about shills.

For me, I'm excited, but I want everything to be kept a secret about the game save for the starters' final forms, since that's the only decision I care about knowing going into the game.

Basically, culling happened and the reasoning given for it was shown to be bullshit. I mean sure, there's some things back that are nice but some of the stuff leaves much to be desired and the culling basically had no excuse. Game Freak's always been lazy but this time they outdid themselves in being lazy.

Am I the only one here that like Dyna/ Gigantamax. I mean it's a top tier battle mechanic . But it could have been implemented better artistically. Just making Pokémon big is not enough. Also I like the new Pokémon designs, the wild area and the Champions Cup feature (inspired by UEFA champions League maybe).
Don't care to much about the graphics or the culling.

I mean, in a nostalgic sense, kinda. That said, so far these games have kind of been a let down. I’m hoping that since they’re going to cut out some of the Pokémon available, they’ll have a good number of new Pokémon (100+) and about 20+ Galar variants. More than likely though it’ll be like 60 new Pokémon and 10-15 regional variants.

Pokemon games stopped improving. From gen 1-6 every game felt like a direct improvement to the last, even if it was only graphically. It was like other JRPGs.

But gen 7 and 8 are just recycling assets and actually CUTTING content. the yearly release schedule also prevents these games from ever reaching their potential. They are barely showing any new Pokemon anymore and most of them feel like retreads of past ideas. There's literally nothing to be hyped about if you're not a waifufag.

People got tired of this game quickly because since the LGBT pikachu and eevee/mainline divide they wanted swoosh to be the "back to core" game they felt botw was for the zelda series. Instead we get removal of content with nothing significative in exchange.

Gen 6 was worse than Gen 7 though. XY had forgettable characters and the worst story in the series. SM was full of memorable characters, one of the best stories, and had better Pokemon designs.

Gen 7 was shit and far worse than 6. Gen 6's story was forgetable but it wasn't intrusive like 7's was, and the Pokemon designs in 6 were mostly pretty fucking great compared to a few gems in 7. Not to mention 6 also had the best online until 7 came back and somehow regressed everything.
