The idea behind this one is an underhanded dark pokemon thinking "Oh, well if you're gunna buff then I am too!" and sneaking a buff into another attack. After all, its only fair that we both get to buff right?

This is supposed to be a battle defining move, like Trick Room. This lets sets like Alakazam using the elemental punches again, or lets a Special wall tank really well, and runs great with Light Screen. It's a hugely strong counter to Physical sweepers, but great on pokemon who have a mismatched moveset to their stat spread.

But the idea is that it's like ne of those ancient forbidden techniques from the animes, where using it slowly hurts you, and sometimes it randomly kills a guy important to the plot. It's not about trying to get the 1HKO, the 1HKO is just supposed to be a happy accident you get sometimes where you strike a vital organ and kill him dead. The high base power is so the recoil hurts you more.

It's like a reverse fly, instead of making yourself immune for a turn you make them do it. Great if you need a second to heal or switch, also great on slower pokemon who can attack a second time on the turn they reappear. The two turn cooldown stop fast pokemon from spaming Banish and getting 5 attacks in a row for free with the opponent unable to respond the whole time.

I think Roost is a pretty cool move, there should be more moves that have flexible uses and can be a cool option in certain situations. Most type-changing moves suck though, since that's all they do. Like Camouflage.

I like this, but it needs to be lower dam. Because 90 dam, then add stab (not to mention SE), then 100% curse (so 1/4 health drop again at end of turn) is pretty OP. Make it physical with 70 dam or special with 60 dam and I think that's much better balanced.

Also good but too powerful, this needs 50 dam because letting it hit 90 stab, with buff (not to mention SE) is pretty OP. 40 is too low, it keeps the attack relatively standard and detracts from the punishment. 50 dam is much better balanced, even if it is only 10 less base, it's 15 less stab, it still gives a solid boost when paired with the atk boost without utterly crushing.

Like this >>39894915 is my move, and honestly looking it over I really think it should be 40 bp. 50 is good for the nonstab mons, but 75 with stab then SE with all those bonuses is probably too much. 40 bp also fits the idea behind the move better because it's a launched clump of sand designed to burst into particles on impact, so dam should be low for the added effects. Like hollow tips against armor.

Keeping it somewhat realistic is what makes it fun/good/memorable.
