I've had the idea for a while, but essentially it'd be a Pokemon game where instead of travelling through an already set up and recognized region, you would be a traveler that's going through a barren wilderness and establishing the region.
It would be based in Scandinavia, all of the countries of that area of the world being combined into one Pokemon region while still retaining their culture and geography.
Here's some of the things that would happen, plot points, etc etc. It's been a while since I've thought about it and I never really wrote it down so sorry if some of it is unpolished, but it's just a rough idea.
>You arrive in a newly discovered region as apart of a research team sent by some other region's government/league to scout the area and begin colonizing it
>In this research team there are different roles, stuff such as Pokemon researchers, farmers, builders, geologists, rangers, the types of people you would need to establish civilization in the Pokemon world.
>As you make your character you're able to choose from one of these "classes" and what you choose changes your skills and what you're best at in the game
>The game itself goes through difference phases, from establishing basic stuff like settlements and camps to building those up into proper towns and villages into cities and the like.
>The map would be free form and very open world, maybe not entirely open world, not sure, but you can go wherever you want whenever you want as long as you have the patience to venture out there.
>Tons of varied geography and landscapes, from rolling hills to fjords to forests and swamps and mountains, grassy/snowy fields, etc etc etc. Super varied.
>The main thing of the game would be creating the region you're now in, YOU would choose where towns go, YOU would choose how they look and function, YOU would choose whether they have gyms in them or not, etc etc, You would be the first settlers of this region so it's up to you to build it.
